Cheval Thorney Court London

On the occasion of my Gotcha Day and Papa's birthday, we were invited to stay at Cheval Thorney Court, together with my friend Leo and his humans. A lavish one-night #corguide stay overlooking Kensington Palace Gardens, with breathtaking views of Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall and more.

Le Residence

Cheval Residences offer luxury serviced apartments for short and extended stays in several locations across London. The company takes its name from Cheval Place in Knightsbridge, where the first residence opened in 1982.

Across the street from Hyde Park, the refined apartment hotel of Cheval Thorney Court upmarket Kensington is a only a few minutes walk from the Royal Albert Hall and High Street Kensington tube station.

Available for long and short terms stays, it offers elegant 2- and 3-bedroom apartments with a Georgian decor, free Wi-Fi and smart TVs, on-site gym and off street parking. All have living rooms, dining tables and kitchens, as well as washer/dryers and private balconies. Individual features may also include bay windows, decorative fireplaces and/or Hyde Park views.

Upon entering the reception area, the 24-hr concierge and team gave us a warm welcome before showing us to our home for the night - on the top floor.

Le Condo

The Cheval team knows how treat one like royalty - and once again we were left in awe as we entered the deluxe penthouse.

The concierge gave us a tour of the elegant comfortable apartment, which is spacious and offers privacy, a fully-fitted kitchen (complete with china and glassware, and a dishwasher), two ensuite bedrooms (with Bvlgari toiletries, fluffy towels and bathrobes) and stunning views through expansive bay windows. Just as for all Cheval residences, a mobile phone is placed in the apartment for guests to use during their stay - with free calls and internet.

Both Leo and I found a bed waiting for us, filled with toys, treats, food (including The Rockster) and toys. To welcome the humans a hamper with delicious sweet and savoury goodies (with the flapjack being Papa's fav).

Once again little touches were waiting for us throughout the apartment, much to our delight. To celebrate our two special occasions, the team had ordered a delicious personalised cake, and a bottle of bubbly. Handwritten notes were also left for four- and two-legged guests, making us fell even more welcome.

The "clou" was the spacious terrace with a dining table to enjoy iconic London views, alfresco. Only when the night fell did we realise that, as it was a Saturday night before Guy Fawkes night, we were to be treated not only to an amazing sunset over Kensington, but also to several fireworks (with an unprecedented view).

Having sent the humans to buy some groceries at nearby Wholefoods Market for the evening, we enjoyed some music played on the top of range audio equipment before having an excellent night's sleep.

In the morning, after a walk at nearby Kensington Palace Garden, breakfast was served on the terrace for Leo and I, whilst the humans refueled on coffee (the apartment includes a machine and pods).

Soon it was time to leave, but not before getting more fusses from the lovely reception team. Merci Cheval Residences for another brilliant stay!
